ACM SIGCOMM
ACM SIGCOMM is ACM's professional forum for discussing communications and computer networks. It discusses about the field of communications and computer networks and related topics, including technical design and engineering, regulation and operations, and the social implications of computer networking. Its members include scientists, engineers, educators, and students. These members study all aspects of computer communications and networks: analysis, technical design, engineering, measurem... ent, and management. The members of ACM SIGCOMM are primarily interested in the systems engineering and architectural queries surrounding computer communication. It supports a variety of activities in the field: Professional meetings; Publications; Recognition and support for computer networking professionals; and Resources for the community. The annual ACM SIGCOMM Award, presented at the ACM SIGCOMM Technical Conference, recognizes lifetime contribution to the field of communication networks, and this was created by ACM SIGCOMM in 2011.
