ACSO AUSTRALIA
ACSO has grown from a small organisation providing a halfway house for ex-prisoners to becoming a leading provider of community support services, delivering programs that change the lives of people in the criminal justice system along with a range of diversion and early intervention programs that help stop people from getting there. ACSO Australia vision is to create a safe and inclusive community freed of crime and prison. Their growth is testament to their ethos, ‘create another chance�... � and how they go about doing it portrays their values. They are the fence at the top of the cliff, working with people at risk of getting into trouble to divert them from crime. They are the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff, helping people transition from prison or court supporting them in the community to stop them from re-offending. they change people’s lives. They offer innovative programs responding to unemployment, mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance use and offending behavior throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria and into New South Wales. All of their services are delivered through their ‘wrap around’ service delivery model to achieve better outcomes for their clients and the communities they serve.
