ADVANCED PILOT

Advanced Pilot is a new non-profit organisation aimed at increasing pilot safety and enjoyment by providing a challenging yet realistic development structure. The Advanced Pilot (H) programme is the first and the only helicopter pilot scheme to obtain the UK CAA's PROUD endorsement. Pilots can work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold awards with easy online management and little to no time in a classroom. There has been a clear need for a dedicated qualification for committed helicopter pilots, an... d AP(H) is the only scheme of its kind. We understand that rotorcraft operation demands a unique skill set which our programme will certainly help maintain and develop. The syllabus is built in collaboration with highly skilled helicopter pilots and places a focus on advanced practical skills, accelerating your development in a measurable way. Too many pilots stop flying within the first five years of gaining their licence. We would love to see more fledgling pilots continuing to have fun and explore, whilst adding to the rich helicopter culture we have here in the UK, so we’ve made it as simple as possible for you to progress through the course - as long as you're flying! ​ You can submit evidence online (including logbook hours!) through our partner, Helipaddy. There is no requirement to go through ground school days, allowing you more flexibility and independence. You can take control of your own progress, and add or maintain your skills using whichever Advanced Training Organisation is most accessible to you at that time.More
