AFRICAN WATER FACILITY
The African Water Facility (AWF) is a multilateral fund operated and managed by African Development Bank, which provides grants and expert technical assistance to enable governments, NGOs, and private-public partnerships to secure investments and implement innovative and sustainable water projects throughout Africa. AWF focuses its activities and operations around three strategic priority areas, which together provide a comprehensive approach to project preparation that creates a favorable investment climate, develops sustainable infrastructure, and promotes the financing of investments. AWF supports projects designed to increase water, energy, and food security, enhance regional cooperation, and promote socio-economic growth in Africa.
