AFRINIC is a non-government, not-for-profit, membership-based organization providing professional and efficient management of internet number resources, supporting internet technology usage and development, and promoting a participative and multi-stakeholder approach to internet self-governance. It is responsible for the distribution and management of internet number resources such as IP addresses and ASN for the African region. AFRINIC’s aim is to provide professional and efficient distr... ibution of internet number resources to the African internet community, to support internet technology usage and development across the continent and to strengthen internet self-governance in Africa by encouraging a participatory policy development. AFRINIC was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Ebène.
