AIDS COMMITTEE OF TORONTO

AIDS Committee of Toronto was founded by a group of volunteers determined to combat the misinformation about HIV and AIDS. The organization challenged the stigma associated with those who had AIDS and fought for funding for an HIV response at all levels of the government. Since its founding, ACT has developed programs and services that respond to the changing needs of the communities it serves. From community health promotion and outreach programming to their Employment ACT program that helps people with HIV return to the workforce, to counseling and case management services, they offer a robust range of programs and services.
