Akthelia is an emerging pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel antimicrobial therapeutics, which enhance the body‘s innate microbial defences. The ever-increasing resistance to currently marketed antibiotics has led to a clear need for novel anti-infective agents that are active against drug resistant bacteria, opportunistic infections and acute infections of unknown causes.
