ALLIANCE FOR AN ENERGY EFFICIENT ECONOMY

The Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), a not-for-profit organisation, was launched in New Delhi, on 7th of November 2008. AEEE is an industry association created for the specific purpose of convening companies and organizations (manufacturing companies, end users, service providers, utilities, academic and R&D institutes and other non-profit organisations) interested in creating a thriving energy efficiency sector in India and providing a unique platform to actively participate ... and support in energy efficiency policy formulation and analysis. The founding members and supporting partners have established the AEEE as an organisation that fosters professional cooperation among market players such as equipment manufacturers, project developers, ESCOs and other service providers to achieve the vision of an energy efficient Indian economy. AEEE enables India’s energy efficiency stakeholders to convene on a common platform to actively participate and support energy efficiency policy development and implementation, energy efficiency market development and utility-led demand side management and demand response programs. It’s mission is to become the nodal organisation to coordinate a dispassionate discourse on the role and importance of energy efficiency improvements in all sectors (industrial, IT and Telecom, buildings) in India’s economy leading to quantification of energy efficiency benefits at the national level. AEEE is active in energy efficiency policy research, capacity building and implementation advisory. It has successfully worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, its State Designated Agencies, Central and State Regulatory Commissions, and other organizations on various initiatives related to energy efficiency.More
