At the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in East Brunswick, New Jersey, you’ll have the opportunity to receive the training necessary for professional certification and licensure, as well as focus on developing essential skills in business, ethics and communication to help you reach your career goals. The accredited academics offered at the school are based on feedback from local businesses and employers like Massage Envy, Avator Day Spa, and the New York Sports Club, so you can be s... ure the training you’ll receive will be in keeping with the demands of the industry. The school provides job placement assistance to all graduates by helping to secure interviews with these businesses, allowing you access to potential employment. The comprehensive Medical Massage and Spa Therapy program teaches you all components of the trade from anatomy and physiology to spa hydrotherapy to prepare you to take the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination. Upon completion of the program, you’ll receive a diploma in Medical Massage and Spa Therapy and a certificate in Neuromuscular Theory. The student clinic is open throughout the year and provides opportunities for students to practice their skills on real clients. Students must supply two sets of twin sheets for use in the classroom and student clinic. This is not covered in tuition.
