AMERICAN MEDICAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION
AMSA is a student-governed national organization. The main purpose of the organization was to provide medical students a chance to participate in organized medicine. The American Medical Student Association is the only medical student organization. The American Medical Student Association deals with medical student activism. AMSA is a student-governed national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. AMSA members are medical students, premedical students, in... terns, residents, and practising physicians. AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health. As believers in progress, not just in medical science but in growing our understanding of how environmental and social determinants, for instance, impact health, AMSA has continued to evolve and respond to the times.
