AMIGA
Amiga is a family of personal computers that launched in 1985. The original founders included Larry Kaplan, Jay Miner and Ron Nicholson. The company was acquired by Commodore in 1984, and became independent again after the assets were liquidated in 1994. After more than 35 years of uninterrupted development and chain of title, today's Amiga Corporation remains active mostly via licensees like A-EON Technology, Hyperion Entertainment and Cloanto. Amiga still enjoys a small but loyal community, and several events take place yearly all around the world.
