ANIMAL SHELTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
ASAP rescues Santa Barbara County's cats through shelter, vet care, behavior aid, adoption, fostering, education, and outreach. ASAP functions with a team comprising 5-7 part-time and full-time staff members, further reinforced by the devoted efforts of approximately 200 volunteers annually. These volunteers wholeheartedly engage in various responsibilities, including daily cage upkeep, socializing cats, conducting outreach initiatives, caring for fostered kittens and hospice cats, executing adoption programs, implementing behavior interventions, addressing the cats' medical and emotional requirements, and more. Every year, ASAP dedicates its efforts to nurturing the health and welfare of nearly 1,000 cats within their community.
