Apache Friends is a non-profit project that promotes the Apache web server and develops XAMPP, a free and cross-platform software package containing the Apache web server, MySQL database, and necessary tools to use the PHP and Perl programming languages. It is a registered trademark of BitRock. Apache Friends was founded by Kai 'Oswald' Seidler and Kay Vogelgesang and is based in Berlin, Germany.
