Since Apex Technical School is located in the heart of NYC, it's the ideal place for you to get the certification you need to become a skilled worker with marketable skills. Academics at Apex are hands-on, with programs combining the practical application of skills with classroom instruction. Classes are kept small so that stude... nts can work closely with their instructors, who are all professionals in the field that they teach. Apex offers six different certification programs, designed to get you prepared for a technical career. Day students may be able to finish their studies and earn their certifications in as little as seven months. The available programs are: * Automotive Technician * Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Appliance and Controls * Auto Body Repair * Electrical and Advanced Electrical * Combination Welding Technology * Construction Skills: Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical As a for-profit school, Apex does not offer its own scholarships. However, eligible students may still use federal financial aid awards through the FAFSA to help cover tuition costs. Admissions require that students be 17 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and meet with an admissions counselor for an interview.More
