APPRENTICE SCHOOL - NEWPORT NEWS SHIPBUILDING
The Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia, offers vocational apprenticeships for shipbuilding and other trade careers. The Apprentice School also offers a variety of extracurricular activities. All of The Apprentice School’s programs involve extensive hands-on work. Students may specialize in such trades as: * Electrical technology * Heating and air conditioning * Pipefitting * Rigging * Sheet metal * Welding * Advanced Shipyard Operations * Marine Designing The... school’s optional student life activities include social events and community service projects. Admissions requirements include completion of a high school math, science or technology course.
