In 2020, Aquagenuity launched the Water Genome Project™ as a part of Ocean Visions (a collaboration between the Georgia Aquarium, Stanford, Smithsonian, MIT, Georgia Tech and the United Nations UNESCO) to map all the world's water city-by-city, using data to bridge the gap in the last mile between the water treatment plant and every home’s tap. Leveraging big data analytics and machine learning, Aquagenuity’s proprietary database features up-to-date water quality data for 82% of the U.S. population (that’s 262 million Amercians and counting). The technology includes a web app, a robust API, and the proprietary AquaScore™ (similar to a credit score), which allows hyperlocal water quality data to be displayed on any smart device. Aquagenuity also offers Water DNA tests (the '23 and Me' of water), so any consumer can get real-time water quality data all the way to their home’s tap.
