Though its history dates back to 1882, when it was the Ogontz School for Girls, Penn State Abington has been a four-year institution since 1997. The school offers about 20 associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, as well as continuing education programs for adults. Penn State Abington’s students can also take advantage of other academic resources in the Pennsylvania State University system. You can begin your college career at Abington, then transfer to Penn State’s main campus in University... Park. This way, you can start in a small college environment, and then explore PSU’s extensive academics (which include more than 160 majors). College life at Penn State Abington offers a wide array of opportunities to get involved. The campus features more than 30 student organizations, covering everything from art to Ultimate Frisbee. Penn State Abington participates in federal financial aid programs, such as need-based grants and loans. The school also funds institutional merit scholarships, ranging from $1000 to $3000. These scholarships do not require an application; once you accepted to the college, you are automatically considered and may qualify depending on eligibility factors.
