Arkansas Baptist College, located in Little Rock, is committed to fostering students who are both intellectually and spiritually vibrant. Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) is a historically African-American (HBCU) four-year college committed to nurturing those of African-American heritage, but open and available to students of all backgrounds. ABC admissions are open, so test scores are not taken into consideration, only your ability to benefit from the school's courses. In addition to areas like... religious studies, ABC also offers academics in business, arts and humanities and social studies. Regarding the spiritual and the intellectual as equally important, ABC's religious activities are an integral part of campus life. Chapel services and religious lectures from guest speakers are held regularly on campus for students and faculty. With a mission of Christian service and a special commitment to its African-American roots, ABC encourages students to participate in O.K. volunteer service. This is a community service program whereby ABC students volunteer as mentors to young, disenfranchised African-American males. A variety of student clubs, activities and organizations are offered at Arkansas Baptist College to enrich your college life. These include religious and community service-oriented organizations. However, there are also arts, athletics and academic clubs intended to enhance what is learned in the classroom. All students may also receive one-on-one career counseling intended to help identify and foster each student's individual academic, spiritual and personal attributes. Adhering to its strict moral codes, ABC only offers single-sex residences. Financial aid offerings include work-study options, scholarships and loans for eligible students who need help with the costs of tuition.More
