Athlete.com is a social platform for athletes and a 'run raiser' platform that enables charities of any size to create activity-based (eg: run/walk/wheel) fundraising events overnight. These events are virtual in that everyone participates from anywhere in the world using athlete.com apps - or a Garmin. In 2012, over 11M people raised billions of dollars for charity via activity-based events. Yet, on average only half of the dollars raised benefit the charity due to event management costs....
