ATORVIA HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES
Atorvia is pioneering novel therapeutic approaches for organ failure, starting in the kidney. Targeting a previously unknown functional role of a protein involved in the regulated cell death pathway, Atorvia’s lead program is a small peptide therapeutic that prevents and treats kidney failure caused by ischemia. Potential applications of this first-in-class drug include preventing kidney failure in patients undergoing surgery, a common and often devastating consequence during transplant or cardiac bypass procedures. There is currently nothing surgeons can do to prevent it and no treatment for it.
