BASSLINK
Basslink Telecoms is a alternative network owner and operator of bandwidth to Tasmania from Victoria to that of Telstra. The Basslink Telecoms network is the result of several years hard work to design, contract and implement the necessary technology capable of transmitting data reliably on such a unique asset. In 2007, Basslink committed to the creation of Basslink Telecoms, using the assets of the HVDC Interconnector and was operational by July 2009, when the first customer generated traffic flowed from Melbourne to Hobart.
