BEXLEY HALL EPISCOPAL SEMINARY

Bexley Hall, a division of Trinity Lutheran seminary, was one of the first seminaries in the Columbus region. Today, Bexley prides itself on offering rigorous academics in an intimate, closely-knit, spiritual environment. Bexley’s affiliations with other seminaries mean that students may also take specialized and unique courses outside of Bexley. Bexley awards a master’s degree in Divinity and an advanced certification in Anglican Studies. Students may also take courses at such local Ohio ... seminaries as Seabury-Western Seminary and Pontifical College Josephinum. Courses available at these and other seminaries include such topics as Johannian Literature and liberation theology. The Bexley campus is comprised of a small and intimate group of students and faculty. Bexley’s college life activities also help to support this sense of community. College activities include formal and informal worship, fellowship, morning and evening prayers and reflection times. Materials required for admissions include an application, a resume, transcripts, three letters of recommendation and an autobiographical essay. Applicants to the Divinity program will also need to complete an Ecclesiastical Statement of Support. Trinity and Bexley award a certain number of merit scholarships. To qualify for these, applicants must submit an essay and have a GPA of at least 3.3. Bexley also supplies students with a list of outside scholarships.
