Black Girl Ventures is an ecosystem of black and brown women creating access to social and financial capital together. It provides founders with resources such as learning experiences, online peer-to-peer mentoring, education, leadership development, and a community that looks like them. The firm is a culturally converging ecosystem igniting economic security, civic engagement, and hyperlocal infrastructure at the intersection of STEM education and entrepreneurship for black and brown woman-identifying founders, funders, and veterans. It funds and scales tech-enabled, revenue-generating businesses under $1M founded by people who identify as black and brown and woman. Black Girl Ventures was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
