Among the nearly 20 majors offered at Brevard College are programs like Environment Studies, Environmental Sciences and the especially unique Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education... . These programs take full advantage of the gorgeous landscape surrounding the college. Student life also features several opportunities for fun in the local environment. Multiple national forests and rivers are located near the school, and Brevard sponsors weekend trips to explore the wilderness of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Brevard Rock Gym, a state-of-the-art indoor climbing facility, gives you the chance to prepare for these excursions. Financial aid at Brevard College includes institutional scholarships and government grants and loans. Brevard’s scholarships are based on numerous criteria, including academic achievement, leadership and athletic ability. Departmental scholarships are also available for exceptional students in the Art, Music, Theater, and Wilderness Leadership programs.More
