Brewster Technical Center provides career and educational opportunities for adults, high school students and second-language learners who live in the Tampa, Florida region. Flexible schedules and student services for those with special needs are some of the additional benefits of a Brewster Technical education. Adult students at Brewster may enroll for a career-training program in such fields as: * Business * Healthcare * Industrial trades There is also another cluster of classes in b... asic skills. These are designed for the adult who does not have a high school diploma or GED or needs to improve English-language skills. The third series of programs at Brewster give high school students age 16 a head start on a vocation. All eligible Brewster students also have access to disability services which provide support to those who have physical and learning disabilities. Certain programs, such as the one for high school students, are free of charge. While the school does not cover the cost of books, book vouchers may be available to cover this cost as well. Any student interested in registering for a program at Brewster will need to pick up an application at the Brewster admissions office. Most programs also require that students take the TABE test, which is used for class placement purposes.More
