BURROUGHS WELLCOME
Burroughs Wellcome is an independent biomedical research foundation focused on helping scientists in early stages to advance in the basic medical sciences. It invests annually to support science education programs for primary and secondary students in North Carolina. It was founded in 1955 as the corporate foundation of the Burroughs Wellcome Co. It was established as the United States branch office of the Wellcome pharmaceutical enterprise, based in the United Kingdom.
