CALCIVIS
Calcivis is a privately owned and funded Company established in 2012 and based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Company was set up in order to develop and commercialise a new technology aimed at a significant unmet need in dentistry. The technology was co-invented by the University of Dundee and another Scottish SME, LUX Innovate. In August 2012 Calcivis completed a £1.2m fundraising led by Archangels Informal Investment and acquired the technology and all associated intellectual property from th... e University and LUX. Calcivis and the management team are based at the Edinburgh BioQuarter in the south of the City adjacent to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. The Company operates a virtual development model working with a range of contract research and manufacturing organisations predominantly also based in Scotland.
