Carnegie Institute is committed to providing career training in healthcare professions that are currently in high demand. Consequently, Carnegie is constantly expanding, aligning its programs of study with the most employable occupations. Through the school’s numerous medical alliances, students also have access to numerous professional opportunities. The list of programs available at Carnegie shows how technologically current and cutting-edge some of its offerings are: * Electroneurodiagn... ostic Technologist * Cardiovascular Technologist * Medical Assisting * Massage Therapy * Pacemaker/ICD Technician * Vascular Technologist Students are also assigned to clinical externships at one of the more than 50 area hospitals or more than 300 medical facilities that maintain affiliations with Carnegie. Admissions requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a pre-entrance exam, and an interview with an admissions officer. Applicants are also encouraged to tour the school. Financial aid is awarded to those who would not be able to attend Carnegie unless they received help with tuition costs. These need-based aid sources include Pell grants, SEOG grants, and various types of loans. Carnegie also participates in veteran’s benefits and tuition assistance programs through Workforce Investment. Scholarships are available as well. To be considered for aid, students should submit a FAFSA at least two months prior to their date of attendance at Carnegie.
