Physical Therapy is the art and science of applying physical agents, forces, exercise, and manual techniques to promote healing and increase function and well-being. We work within the broader medical community and emphasize evidence-based interventions supported by medical research. A Physical Therapist Practitioner (PT) is licensed by the state in which he/she practices and in California is represented by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Physical Therapy has been proven to be effective in addressing a multitude of ailments including pain, weakness, postural dysfunction, gait and balance disturbance, and poor endurance.
