The company was founded in 1992 as LDMI Telecommunications and changed its name to Cavalier Telephone in February 2007. The company is headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. As of December 15, 2006, Cavalier Telephone operates as a subsidiary of Cavalier Telephone, LLC.
