CENTRAL ARKANSAS TELEPHONE COOPERATIVE
Central Arkansas Telephone Cooperative was formed in 1951 to provide telephone service in rural Hot Spring County. A community denied telephone service by privately owned companies led residents of the region where CATC now operates to establish what is now CATC through a federal law. After over 73 years of service, CATC is still providing telephone service as one of just two cooperatives in Arkansas. CATC strives to provide quality, up-to-date telecommunications service at affordable rates, as ... it did in 1951. Through their motto, "Owned By Those They Serve", it is evident that they have a responsibility and commitment to their customers and service areas that has grown stronger over the years. The original office was in Donaldson, Arkansas, and it is still operating today. Growth in the Bismarck area led to its expansion as time went on.
