The College of San Mateo is the primary source of two-year degree programs in the Silicon Valley. The College of San Mateo’s programs include academic and professional fields, as well as a number of fine and performing arts programs. Located just outside San Jose in San Mateo, California, the college’s contemporary campus features updated facilities and cultural arts activities. There is a campus theatre, which hosts public performances, a school planetarium and a student-run radio station. The College of San Mateo has an open admissions policy. Anyone with a high school diploma or GED may qualify for enrollment by simply filling out an online application. Certain programs such as Nursing may have additional admissions requirements. The college awards partial and full-tuition scholarships based on various criteria such as academic merit and cultural or socio-economic background.
