CONVAGENT OR CONPANION
Building a Better Convention one page mini-presentation possible names: convagent (convention agent) or conpanion (convention companion) MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions, that entire segment of industry, which is a $29.3+ billion dollar industry with roughly 20,000 conventions being held each year. Average convention size can range from 5,000 - 25,000 attendees, with the biggest conventions like CES 2019 having 4500 exhibitors and attracting 180,000 attendees, ... and SEMA 2018 having 2400 exhibitors and attracting 162,000 attendees. Scalability: stores like Amazon Go in Seattle and Standard Market in San Francisco tend to be small, but as the technology that uses cameras to associate a shopper with the objects the shopper picks up advances, we can see a future where our technology uses several different cross-references to create a matrix of behavior for a convention attendee, based on what vendor booths the attendee visits, where on the convention floor the attendee spends time in, what items are picked up and touched by the attendee, and where on a display or sign or what areas of a mannequin do the attendee's eyeballs tend to linger. projected revenues: Initially, we see our revenue streams being a portion of ticket sales for a convention, as well as selling targeted advertising. While this technology is new for MICE, something similar has been done on the web and the internet with Google and Amazon giving the user the ability to perform search and providing recommendations for the user based on user behavior, as well as paying for this free service by charging advertisers to reach certain demographics of users. I googled "how much does google make per user", and according to arkenea.com, for Google each user is worth $182, and for Amazon each user is worth $733. In 2011, according to conventionindustry.org, 205 Million people in the United States attend "the 1.8M conventions, conferences, congresses, trade shows and exhibitions, incentive events and corporate/business meetings" each year. In 2017, according to eventscouncil.org, business events involved more than 1.5 billion participants across more than 180 countries. Using just the 2011 United States numbers of 205 million convention attendees, and using a conservative estimate of each convention attendee being worth $50 within the scope of our technology, that's at least $1 billion in revenue per year.
