Craven Community College offers transfer opportunities, career training, continuing education and enrichment options to residents of the New Bern, North Carolina region. At Craven one may obtain an associateโs degree, certificate or diploma leading to in-demand careers in health or medicine, criminal justice, cosmetology and business administration. At Craven students may also receive highly specialized and technologically advanced training in aeronautical technology and industrial fields. ... Since Craven maintains partnerships with such four-year schools as East Carolina University, North Carolina State and Southern Illinois University, those who plan to transfer also have a number of exciting options. The continuing education division serves approximately 10,000 students per year, with workforce training and enrichment courses. Student life at Craven includes a number of student clubs and organizations including professional groups, arts, recreation and athletic organizations to help students build leadership skills while expanding and growing academically, professionally, creatively and otherwise. Craven has an open admissions policy and students may apply online or with a paper application anytime. Tuition for in-state students is significantly lower than tuition for out-of-state residents. Financial aid offerings include Pell grants, state grants, work-study and federal loans for those who qualify.
