Medgar Evers College is committed to educating and supporting students from all backgrounds, particularly those from disadvantaged populations. Medgar Evers also supports its students in various ways outside of class. The Center for Law and Social Justice, for example, offers free legal aid. Other centers and services include The Women’s Center and a center for disabled students. Campus events include an annual film and culture festival. Undergraduate applicants will need to submit an application with a fee. Other required admissions materials are high school transcripts or GED scores and proof of U.S. citizenship and New York State residency. Medgar Evers offers financial aid through numerous sources. These include federal grants and loans, and both need-based and academic scholarships. For most types of aid, applicants must fill out a FAFSA.More
