The CVPH Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in Plattsburgh, New York, is a great place to receive not only medical treatment, but also a quality education in radiography. In addition to completing the 40 credits in the CVPH Radiology Program, students also must take 24 credits in the liberal arts to ensure a minimum of an associate’s degree in science, with registered areas in General Sci... ence or Mathematics and Radiologic Technology. These liberal arts classes are provided by the Empire College of SUNY New York and can usually be completed online. The curriculum focuses on all facets of radiology, including: * Medical terms * Methods of patient care * Radiographic film processing * Anatomy * Physiology * Pharmacology * Radiographic biology * Quality assurance * And many more The coursework is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills as an entry-level radiographer, as well as development in applied skills in communication, critical thinking, and problem solving to get graduates on their way to gainful employment or a further education in radiologic healthcare.
