DEER RUN WINERY
Deer Run Winery farms around 20% of the grapes utilized in their wines, with the remaining grapes obtained from other Finger Lakes vineyards. They plant Vidal, Valvin Muscat, Noiret, Corot Noir, Traminette, Marechal Foch, and Frontenac on our five-acre vineyard. During the winter months, when the vines are dormant, Scott (and anybody else he can persuade to help) hand prunes each vine and ties it in early spring, before the vines begin to blossom.
