DEMOCRATUS
Democratus is an online parliamentary and democratic social network. It aims to ""shape the world"" with people's ideas and opinions. Democratus offers an online platform for people to come together and discuss political, environmental and other social issues. It empowers individuals to share their ideas and provides a channel for those ideas to reach the media and political institutions. Democratus aims to reflect the pulse of public opinion and bring it to the attention of community leaders and the media. Founded in December 2011 by Caner Turkmen and Usame Doner, Democratus is focusing on establishing its presence in Turkey and the Middle East, after which it intends to expand to North America with the support of investors in Silicon Valley in the U.S.
