Delicious the Gluten Free Bakery (Delicious) was established in 2008 by Denise O’Callaghan after her father was diagnosed as coeliac and she realised that there was a gap in the glutenfree market for a high-quality, tasty bread and cake offering. It specialises in gluten-free confectionary catering for coeliacs and consumers suffering from food allergies. Products include a range of premium gateaux, single portion desserts and a Christmas range. More and more people who want to follow a healthier lifestyle are choosing to eliminate gluten from their diets. This is evident in recent consumer and retailer trends, and satisfying the needs of this market demographic (and their families) is becoming a higher priority for the main retailers. The company has built up a strong product range and customer base and has outgrown its current premises. It now plans to move to a larger 7,500 square-foot facility in Little Island, County Cork, which will enable it increase its production capacity significantly. Funding is required to facilitate this move, recruit key hires and build its UK export business.More
