DSH offers students 500 classroom hours of training, along with the option to re-audit a class for free, through weekend classes over 10 months in order to accommodate your busy schedule. DSH’s academics include several options for students, including: * Stage Hypnosis * Self-Hypnosis * Medical Hypnosis * Hypnotherapy While hypnosis ... often conjures up images of stage shows, DSH offers classes in medical hypnotherapy, which is perfect for physiologists and therapists who want to teach their patients tools to overcome panic attacks, stressful situations and depression. They also offer certification for addiction counselors (CAC I, II, III) which will aid individuals working with addicts by teaching them a calming manner in which to fight addiction, along with methods for their patients to use outside of sessions. The Denver School of Hypnotherapy works to combine hypnosis with conventional counseling in order to teach students how to best help their patients. The training at DSH takes several forms: classroom lectures, discussions, demonstrations, student interaction, group practice sessions and even supervised one-on-one sessions with the general public. Admissions at DSH require applicants to be 21 or older and hold a high school diploma or GED. A background in counseling is recommended but not mandatory.More
