DoBox, Inc. was the privately held, investor-backed award-winning provider of OEM software to power and protect the broadband-connected, networked home. DoBox pioneered networked parental control to manage family internet access for web, chat, email and games, by person and by time of day. At the 2002 launch of the DoBox Family Firewall (tm), Popular Mechanics awarded DoBox a best in show award. DoBox was successfully acquired by Netopia, Inc. (NTPA) in March of 2002 and to this day, the DoBox technology remains the gold standard in Internet Access Management.
