East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN) is a community action organization. ECKAN's success is based on the several services it offers. Community, food and nutrition, FEMA, head start, housing choice voucher program, housing counselling and rentals, outreach and referral, community volunteer centre, and weatherization program are among the services provided. Through individual and organizational devotion, collaboration, and creativity, ECKAN aims to eliminate the causes and conditions of poverty in ECKAN's service region. The objective of ECKAN is to discover and focus on existing resources to help eligible families and individuals acquire the vital skills, information, and attitudes required for self-sufficiency.
