ECOLOGY CROSSROADS COOPERATIVE FOUNDATION
Ecology Crossroads is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 1994 to confront climate change and provide ecosystem services through activities and events it coordinates and sponsors. We became famous when we began for distributing 10 million trees across the United States for Arbor Day and Earth Day. In 2020 we started making a comeback and reinstated our nonprofit status with the IRS, then the pandemic. In 2022 the organization began the soft-launch of a carbon finance tool (instrument)... that can serve as an investment portfolio product with limited Indigenous Payment for Ecosystem Services Contracts through Globcal International and an Indigenous tribe in South America. Through MRIs (Mission Related Investments) philanthropists can maintain rights over Nature-based Solution Credits (type of carbon credit) for up to 5 years.
