EKU POWER DRIVES
EKU Power Drives provides intelligent, gas-electric hybrid solutions to enable oil and gas production with natural gas as the primary fuel, replacing diesel power trains. The solution lowers operating costs and reduces the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing operations and flaring of associated gas. EKU Power Drives have first met for the development of an electric race car, which later became the fastest accelerating electric car in the world. After several years of experience... in R&D centers of well established companies the founders reunited to develop more cost effective and resource-saving power train solutions for industrial applications. They strive for synergies of proven technologies. The smart gas-electric hybrid system combines the simple and robust gas engine technology with powerful and dynamic electric motors. In 2014 the company has started business in Stuttgart, Germany after receiving EXIST governmental funding.
