Empedia.com is a community based encyclopedia where already existing information on the Internet is complemented with personal and experience based input from its users. The goal of Empedia is to provide a database where anyone can contribute with their unique personal experiences and take part of nuanced and efficient information about any given topic. Empedia stands out from other web sites as it provides tools for its users to easily add personal and unique information to over 3,7 million Wikipedia articles. Empedia also provides the possibility for users to create their own topics from scratch which might or might not exist on Wikipedia already. Users can post polls, ask questions, create top lists or simply join in on the discussion about any given topic.
