The company’s network services include IPv4 and IPv6 routing and address space management, and IPv4 multicast networks to support scientific research; Fasterdata, a p... erformance knowledge base that provides the research and education community with a reference for data-intensive science environments, including information on performance tuning, network architectures, troubleshooting methodology, and advanced tools; and On-Demand Secure Circuits and Advance Reservation System (OSCARS) that provide multi-domain, high-bandwidth virtual circuits that guarantee end-to-end network data transfer performance. The company also provides perfSONAR, a network performance and troubleshooting tool for end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting of multi-domain network performance; and develops software and open-source tools for other organizations. It serves the Department of Energy’s sites and science collaborators, including research and education laboratories and institutions in the United States, Europe, the Asia Pacific, and internationally.
