The new ExpressJet Airlines was created when Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., acquired ExpressJet Airlines in Nov. 2010. The two achieved Single Operating Certificate status from the FAA on Nov. 18, 2011 and now operate as a single carrier. Headquartered in Atlanta, the new ExpressJet is the world’s largest regional airline with 10,000 aviation professionals, an average of 2,200 daily flights and an all-jet fleet of more than 400 aircraft. Through capacity purchase agreements, ExpressJet operates as Delta Connection, United Express and Continental Express to serve 189 airports in 41 U.S. states, Bahamas, Canada, and Mexico
