Freia is part of mondelēz international, the leading snack company. Our Norwegian roots can be traced back to the establishment of Freia in 1889. In 1898 did Throne Holst now into an A / S, and it is this year we expect that the start of Freia's history. Eight years later, in 1906, Freia Milk Chocolate launched, and during the next century has Freia been behind several of the most famous and beloved brands - which Japp, King Haakon confectionery, cinema chocolate M and Snappy Lunch. Chocolate Production is still on factory Rodeløkka in Oslo.
