Unitrópico has a history of struggle and tireless work that began in 2000, by the staunch decision of the Casanare Governorate, as one of the founding partners, in response to the urgent need of the Casanareños to have an Institution of Higher Education , to offer its young people the possibility of expanding their life horizons. The idea is materialized thanks to the joint work of various institutions and companies of the public and private sector, which wanted to have in Unitrópico, the po... ssibility of transcending in history their ancestors, the casanareños of today and future generations. Unitrópico has unique characteristics that make it a platform for regional development and progress, through permanent lines of work such as research, social projection, institutional welfare and academia, from a bioethical approach, which responds to their own diversity from their department. The first academic programs with which Unitrópico opened its doors to the community were Economy and Biology, in the I Semester of 2003, of which today there are 98 and 68 graduates respectively, who are positioned in important sectors of the economy as public, private institutions and companies of the region. For the year 2007, Unitrópico receives from the Ministry of National Education, the Qualified Registry of 12 new academic programs, among which were the Engineering: Civil, Agroforestry, Food and Systems and the programs of: Law, International Trade, Architecture, Veterinary Medicine, Tourism Business Administration, Public Accounting and Technology in Judicial Research.More
