How to Apply
Crew 21 is now accepting applications! Existing scouts interested in broadening their scouting experience to include Venturing are welcome, as are those who are not already registered as scouts. Both can apply to Crew 21 using this link:

Purpose
The Culinary Arts Venturing Crew, chartered Sept. 1, 2024, is open to 14+ year olds to come together in a safe and supportive learning environment to develop confidence and leadership, while venturing with hands-on experiences cooking the vast culinary cultures of the world. Crew 21 will discover the importance of nutrition, food safety, kitchen organization, but most significantly how food universally brings people together. The youth-led crew, with adult advisors, will maintain standards of food safety, discuss current health and industry issues, and engage with the community through service and community support.
Venture Crew 21 Structure
As leaders of Venture Crew 21, we commit that we will:
Follow the Scouting America rules, regulations, procedures, and structure.
Meet once a month, either Saturday or Sundays, Friday nights, to prepare and enjoy their cooking.
Be a unit that is Venture youth run, with adult advisors.
Ensure that our Venture youth select dishes, prepare, cook, plate, and eat their food creations, followed by clean up, reflect on their performance, and planning for the next meeting.
Visit an ethnic restaurant every six weeks to taste, discuss, and share their experiences with District scouts.
